Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and overall health status.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper medication management.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe living environment.
- Support clients with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, and memory care techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide care for individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home health care, senior care, or long-term care is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with EMR/EHR systems is advantageous.
- CPR certification is required; additional certifications in catheter care or hospice care are a plus.
- Strong observational skills to monitor changes in patient conditions effectively.
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals suffering from various conditions including Alzheimer’s and dementia.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving such as lifting and transferring patients safely.
- A valid driver’s license may be required depending on the job location.
