Now Hiring: Experienced Property Manager
Compensation: $60,000 – $65,000
Location: South Side of Chicago (Homewood to Park Forest area)
A well-established housing community in the Indiana and South Side of Chicago area is seeking a full-time Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of both cooperative housing and market-rate property. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency.
We are looking for someone with an extensive background in property management, especially in managing diverse property types. Experience with cooperative housing is highly preferred, and familiarity with market-rate property operations is essential.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day management of market-rate and cooperative housing units
- Coordinating maintenance, inspections, vendor services, and capital projects
- Managing resident relations, policy enforcement, and community engagement
- Assisting with budgeting, financial reporting, and rent collection
- Ensuring compliance with fair housing laws and local regulations
- Collaborating with management and board leadership on community goals
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of property management experience (co-op and market-rate preferred)
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of housing regulations in Indiana and Chicago
- Proven ability to manage multiple sites and staff
- Cooperative housing experience is a strong asset
