Experienced Controller to manage a small accounting team for a large, high volume construction company.
The primary responsibilities of this role will center on daily accounting operations including billing, A/P, A/R, in house Payroll, general ledger and wip, monthly P&L’s , and all associated schedules generated monthly .
Overall responsibilities will include reporting requirements to lenders and surety, Oversee and prepare for annual audits which includes but is not limited to: insurance union audits. All work related to quarterly and year end payroll taxes, corporate taxes, and associated personal taxes etc for partners. Further over site of dealings with IRS, and associated govt agencies as may be required.Responsibility for all relationships in terms of collections for AR, Review of contracts, Daily cash flow analysis
Skills :
- 7 Years’ experience in Construction accounting
- 5 years experience as a controller
- Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, in house payroll, income tax and working bank knowledge.
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines completely
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload to produce desired results
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Sage 300
