Holy Cross Diocesan Center is seeking a full-time Maintenance Person. This is an hourly position - starting wage commensurate with experience.
Performs routine plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating and general building and grounds repairs and maintenance.
Essential Functions
1. Working from Blueprints, drawings or oral instructions and using appropriate hand or power tools, builds, repairs, installs and maintains floors, walls and ceilings.
2. Installs and repairs pipes and plumbing fixtures; opens drains.
3. Maintains and repairs heating and temperature control equipment, water boilers, valves, circulating pumps and H.V.A.C units.
4. Pulls, splices and connects wire, installs controls and tests continuity, compatibility and safety of systems, installs and repairs light fixtures, switches and receptacles.
5. Installs and repairs counters, benches, partitions, floors, doors, tables, building framework, windows and trim.
6. May monitor, maintain, and repair water heating treatment systems.
7. Using hand or mechanical equipment, may remove snow, cut grass, trim shrubbery and remove debris from lawns and walkways.
8. Performs other tasks as assigned.
9. Custodial work.
Qualifications
1. Most have good communication skills.
2. Knowledge and experience in maintenance and repair of structural and mechanical equipment.
3. Experience in the use of hand and power tools, power, mechanical and groundskeeping equipment.
4. Ability to drive a car.
Possession of valid driver's license.
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
