Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Project Engineer in Fresno, CA. The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting a major heavy civil infrastructure project in Fresno, CA, coordinating activities from preconstruction through project closeout. This role works closely with field leadership and stakeholders to monitor construction progress, manage project controls, and ensure compliance with technical specifications. The ideal candidate has over five years of heavy civil experience in large-scale projects such as rail, bridges, or highways.

Annual Salary: $95,000 to $140,000 Annually BOE
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and construction documents while assisting with overall construction scheduling.
- Coordinate field activities with project management, subcontractors, engineers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor daily construction activities to verify that work is completed according to plans, specifications, and project standards.
- Perform layout checks and technical reviews of field work to identify site discrepancies and potential cost or schedule impacts.
- Prepare construction work plans, coordinate material procurement, and manage subcontractor preconstruction deliverables.
- Manage and track RFIs, submittals, correspondence, material approvals, and subcontractor documentation.
- Support project controls including cost tracking, estimating, forecasting, and subcontract administration.
- Assist with monthly progress reporting, payment applications, and schedule updates using Primavera P6.
- Coordinate required permits, approvals, and quality checks to meet QA/QC requirements.
- Support project safety requirements and assist with the coordination of project closeout documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of construction experience specifically on heavy civil or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience with highways, bridges, rail, utilities, earthwork, or major concrete structures.
- Comprehensive understanding of project controls, including cost tracking, estimating, and contract administration.
- Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) and resource scheduling techniques.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work directly in the field and navigate active construction sites.
- Ability to perform field inspections, which may include climbing ladders and walking on uneven terrain.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, and reach for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to work in various outdoor environmental conditions and exposure to loud noises.
- Specific vision abilities required to interpret technical drawings and use computer software for extended periods.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $95,000 to $140,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
