United Scripts LTC, LLC is a closed-door pharmacy servicing the Long Term Care Communities. We make the difference in the lives of the staff and administrators of LTC facilities, and most importantly to the residents/patients that we serve, by staying true to our mission. We are currently seeking qualified pharmacy technicians for the following:
Position Summary: As a Pharmacy Production Technician, your responsibilities revolve around fulfilling patient prescriptions into compliance packaging while working with automation to ensure accuracy. You must be detail-oriented to keep prescription information accurate for patient safety. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be dependable, have strong organizational skills, be adaptable, and have the ability to work well with a team as well as possess the tolerance for working in a high-pressure environment.
Essential Duties include the following:
- Reviews, interprets, and processes data with a high degree of accuracy and detail
- Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding.
- Interprets and fulfills prescription orders accurately for pharmacist approval
- This position is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
- Generates, receives, and maintains confidential and sensitive documentation, files, information, and reports to ensure the security of files and data
- Quickly and accurately interprets prescription data with little to no errors
- Maintains confidence and protects sensitive information for patients
- Reports to pharmacy technician supervisor, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist
- Works closely with others within the team
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year Pharmacy Tech experience (preferred)
- Pharmacy Technician License (preferred)
- Exemplary attention to detail
- Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks as needed
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to retain information such as words, numbers, and procedures
- Teamwork mindset with strong interpersonal skills
Schedule:
- The closing shift schedule for production technicians at United Scripts is Monday-Friday, noon-8pm. While technicians who work this schedule do not work the weekends, it is expected they stay until all production work has been completed at the end of the day (all medications have been filled and toted for the last delivery of the day, work stations have been replenished with supplies, work stations and surrounding areas in production are tidied up).
- Technicians who work the closing shift are also expected to volunteer to work at least one Summer/Fall holiday and one Winter holiday.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
