We are seeking a Transfer Dispatch Manager to join our team!
The Transfer Dispatcher role manages our CDL drivers, works as a team, and supports the Transportation and Dispatch management team in ensuring timely and accurate transfers of product between WCW locations. This position requires evening and overnight availability. This position will be best suited for a reliable, self-motivated, culture-driving leader with an affection for detail and problem solving on-the-fly.
Principal Roles and Responsibilities:
- Dispatching CDL drivers on routes on-time (requiring evening and night work)
- Ensuring that all CDL drivers are using equipment properly and safely
- Supporting our CDL drivers through delivery and equipment issues (including driving when required)
- Reporting and arranging maintenance and repair of trucks/trailers
- Communicate with our team regarding delivery times, recovery options, scheduling conflicts, etc.
- Utilizing our software to maintain correct inventory as related to the transfer of product between locations.
Relevant Experience:
- Work experience in Logistics, Dispatching, Driver Management (2+year preferred)
Knowledge / Job-Specific Competencies
- This position requires an active, clean CDL-A commercial driver's license
- Excellent communication skills: verbal and written; professional and personal
- Excel at identifying and balancing competing priorities
- Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Teams, inventory management system, ELDs, Microsoft Word
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
