We are currently seeking a Full-Time Non-CDL Driver to join our team in Hillsdale, NY.
- Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Every other Saturday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- Local delivery routes with a consistent daytime schedule
- Home daily

As a Non-CDL Driver, you will play a key role in delivering building materials and products safely and efficiently to customer locations and company facilities. This position combines professional driving responsibilities with outstanding customer service, ensuring every delivery reflects the quality and reliability our customers expect from Herrington's.
- Safely transport building materials and other products to customer job sites and company locations.
- Load, unload, and secure materials using approved equipment and safe handling practices.
- Prepare and maintain delivery paperwork, receipts, invoices, and transportation records.
- Complete vehicle inspections and daily maintenance reports.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and comply with all applicable state, federal, and DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers regarding schedules and delivery needs.
- Identify and report customer concerns, service opportunities, and business needs.
- Professionally assist with customer service issues and delivery-related questions.
- Immediately report accidents, incidents, near misses, or traffic stops.
- Participate in required safety training, testing, and certification programs.
- Assist with warehouse and yard operations when deliveries are completed.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to meet all applicable DOT requirements and regulations.
- Forklift certification, or the ability to successfully complete company-provided training.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and customer satisfaction.
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
- One year or more of delivery driving experience, preferably in building materials, construction, or a related industry.
- Regularly communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, forklifts, and material-handling equipment.
- Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Perform physical duties related to loading, unloading, and product handling.
- Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Exposure to dust, airborne particles, fumes, and vibration.
- Occasional exposure to moving mechanical equipment and electrical hazards.
- Fast-paced work environment with moderate to high noise levels.
