Packaging machinery manufacturing company currently looking for someone to join the Engineering Department at our LaPorte, Indiana plant. Interested candidates should have a working knowledge of SolidWorks. Experience in the packaging industry is preferred, but not required. Full-time and part-time will both be considered.
This position is responsible for the design/development of packaging machinery on a case-by-case basis, including conveyors, container cleaning equipment, liquid fillers, capping machines and more. The candidate must have the ability to utilize SolidWorks to create models and drawings of components and assemblies. The candidate should also have strong math skills and problem solving abilities as he or she will be expected to assist in the design of custom machinery. The position may also create line layouts for specific customers, work on archiving standard drawings and assemblies or perform other related duties as assigned.
Punctuality required each day within scheduled work hours. Competitive wage with benefits available for full-time employees after 60 days. Vacation eligible after one year of employment.
