What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated, dependable, and compassionate individual to join our team as a full-time Daycare Assistant. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about early childhood education and embraces a Montessori-inspired approach that encourages independence, respect, hands-on learning, and each child’s unique pace of development.
Expectations
- Ability to work a consistent full-time schedule (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM).
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth in a Montessori-inspired learning environment.
- An understanding of, or willingness to learn, Montessori principles and incorporate them into daily interactions with children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate professionally with coworkers and families.
- A positive attitude, patience, flexibility, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to foster children’s independence while providing guidance with kindness, respect, and encouragement.
- Commitment to maintaining a calm, organized, clean, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Willingness to follow all daycare policies, procedures, and New York State OCFS regulations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children is preferred but not required.
- Experience or interest in Montessori education is a plus.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus or willingness to obtain after hire.
- Must be dependable, patient, organized, and able to work well in a team environment.
- Must meet all New York State OCFS employment requirements, including required background clearances and trainings.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
