Duties
- Operate construction equipment including excavators, Skidsteer, dump trucks, and trailers to perform excavation, grading, utility installation, and site preparation tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal safety and performance, adhering strictly to federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures.
- Drive commercial trucks for transporting equipment, materials, or personnel between job sites safely following all commercial truck driving regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and safety checks to support operational efficiency.
- Follow all safety regulations rigorously, ensuring compliance with federal safety standards and promoting a culture of safety on every project site.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, backhoes, and dump trucks in a construction environment.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and routine maintenance on equipment.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction utility work.
- Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures is essential.
- Construction site experience with a focus on excavation, grading, and utility installation is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate excavators, Skid steer and other heavy machinery confidently and safely.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude combined with hands-on experience in construction machinery maintenance.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and site work ensures a safe working environment.
