We are seeking an experienced Industrial Construction Estimator to join our growing preconstruction team in Bartow, FL. This position is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in industrial construction estimating who enjoys collaborating with project teams and producing accurate, competitive estimates for complex construction projects.
This is a full-time, in-office position requiring daily attendance in our Bartow office.
Responsibilities
- Review project drawings, specifications, bid documents, and attend pre-bid meetings.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop complete project cost estimates.
- Develop labor, equipment, and material pricing for industrial construction projects.
- Solicit, evaluate, and compare subcontractor and supplier proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, schedulers, engineers, and clients throughout the estimating process.
- Assist in developing project schedules during the bidding phase.
- Lead or participate in bid review meetings.
- Support project handoff to operations after project award.
- Prepare change order estimates and budgeting assistance as needed.
- Maintain organized estimating files and documentation.
- Recommend cost-saving alternatives and value engineering opportunities.
Qualifications
- Industrial construction estimating experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent combination of experience and technical training).
- Minimum of 4+ years of estimating, project controls, or engineering experience in industrial construction.
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, labor production, and equipment costs.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
