Our client, is seeking an experienced Program Scheduler to join their Program Controls team in New York City. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity supporting large-scale high-rise construction projects with a projected duration of 4 to 6+ years.

A Day in the Life of a Program Scheduler
As a Program Scheduler, you'll play a critical role in planning, maintaining, and optimizing master construction schedules for large-scale vertical construction projects. You'll collaborate with project teams, executive leadership, owners, architects, engineers, and contractors to monitor progress, identify scheduling risks, and develop solutions that keep complex programs moving forward. Your expertise will directly support successful project delivery while minimizing schedule and cost impacts.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop, update, and maintain cost- and resource-loaded master program schedules
- Create and manage construction schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Review project schedules and assist Project Schedulers with monthly schedule update analyses
- Perform schedule reviews and identify risks, delays, and opportunities for improvement
- Conduct Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and develop mitigation strategies
- Prepare look-ahead schedules, "what-if" scenarios, and recovery schedules
- Analyze schedule impacts and recommend corrective action plans to minimize cost and schedule overruns
- Monitor and report program schedule status to executive leadership
- Present schedule updates and analysis to owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Lead scheduling meetings with project teams and clients
- Collaborate across multiple projects to ensure accurate reporting and schedule alignment
- Maintain transparency while working independently and collaboratively with project teams
- Support program controls efforts through proactive schedule management and reporting
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 12–15 years of experience in planning, scheduling, project controls, or program controls
- Extensive experience scheduling high-rise or other vertical construction projects
- Institutional construction experience required; detention facility experience preferred
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, means, and methods
- Expert-level proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated experience developing resource-loaded CPM schedules
- Proven experience with Time Impact Analysis (TIA)
- Experience performing schedule analysis, reporting, and progress tracking
- Ability to communicate effectively with owners, contractors, architects, engineers, and executive leadership
- Experience working in multiple project environments, including consultant, owner, owner's representative, architect, contractor, or engineering organizations
- Experience with value management and reporting
- Experience with claims prevention and defense
- Field construction experience required
- BIM and risk analysis knowledge is a plus
- Strong organizational, analytical, and relationship-building skills
- Proven history of career stability and successful project scheduling
