Hardware Resources, Inc. is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative to own and grow our Northern California / Bay Area territory. This is a field-based role built for a seasoned outside sales professional who knows how to manage a large territory, build lasting trade relationships, and consistently drive new business.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and grow an established territory of 300+ accounts including cabinet makers, manufacturers, dealers, and showrooms across the Bay Area
- Own your territory — plan your week, prioritize accounts, and execute a call schedule that balances existing account development with active prospecting
- Build deep relationships with shop owners, purchasing managers, and key decision-makers in the cabinetry and construction trades
- Conduct in-person calls, product demos, and client meetings across your territory
- Drive new business through cold outreach, referrals, and dealer network development
- Partner with Inside Sales for full account support and seamless customer service
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of outside sales experience in a field-based, territory-driven role — this is not an inside sales or hybrid role
- Demonstrated experience managing a large geographic territory with high account volume (200+ accounts preferred)
- Background in cabinetry, cabinet hardware, millwork, building materials, or related construction trades strongly preferred
- Proven track record of new business development — you know how to open doors, not just maintain them
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
- Must live in or near the Bay Area with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Comfortable with CRM tools for pipeline tracking and account management
Compensation & Benefits
- $85,000 – $115,000 base salary + commission
