Job Title: 5th Grade Teacher-Writing/Social Studies
Dept/School: Troup Elementary School
Length of Work Year: 10 months
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Effectively perform all duties and tasks as defined by the job description and as requested by the campus principal.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Experience:
Proven performance as a qualified teacher
Completion of Reading Academy preferred

Highly effective leadership in promoting student achievement

Ability to manage student behavior

Strong knowledge of subject area
