Position Overview
The Dental Hygienist must abide by various regulatory compliance rules and must always treat patients with dignity and respect.
General Responsibilities
- Provide dental hygiene care for patients through initial screenings, radiographs, periodontal screening, oral cancer screening, fluoride treatments, sealants, and oral hygiene instructions
- Documents dental hygiene progress notes and accurately enter procedures in charge entry
- Maintains dental equipment, safety checks, quality control logs, and operatories
- Maintains adequate dental supplies for patient care, ordering or notifying designated staff when needed
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene Program required
- Dental Hygienist license in the State of Ohio required
- Minimum of 2-4 years’ of dental office experience preferred
- Windows-based computer experience required
