We're partnering with a well-established CPA firm that specializes in governmental auditing and consulting and is seeking a Senior Audit Associate to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with governmental audit experience who wants to become a true industry specialist while working closely with municipalities, school districts, and other local government entities
What You'll Do
- Lead audit engagements from planning through completion
- Prepare and review audit workpapers, financial statements, and related disclosures
- Work directly with governmental clients including municipalities, school districts, townships, library districts, and pension funds
- Perform and review substantive and analytical audit procedures
- Assist with Single Audits and compliance engagements
- Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and control deficiencies to clients and management
- Mentor and supervise junior staff throughout engagements
- Provide consulting, accounting, and operational support to clients as needed
- Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
Qualifications
- 3+ years of public accounting audit experience
- 3+ years of governmental audit experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and GASB standards
- CPA preferred or actively pursuing certification (150-hour requirement completed)
- Single Audit experience is a plus

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
