1st Pressman (Night Shift)
Location: Twin Cities, MN
Shift: Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | 3–4 Days per Week

We're looking for an experienced 1st Pressman to join our production team. In this role, you'll oversee press setup, production, quality, and troubleshooting while leading the press crew to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
What You'll Do
- Set up and operate commercial web presses from make-ready through production completion.
- Mount plates, adjust registration, set ink keys, and achieve accurate color standards.
- Make final quality decisions on color, registration, density, and overall print appearance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, print quality, and material issues during production.
- Lead and direct the 2nd Pressman, roll tenders, and other support staff throughout each production run.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibrations, and advanced press adjustments.
- Monitor production efficiency while minimizing waste and downtime.
- Complete production documentation, quality inspections, and job reports.
- Communicate production status, issues, and scheduling updates with supervisors and quality teams.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience operating commercial web printing presses from setup through completion.
- Experience with Heidelberg or Goss Web Presses is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of color management, registration, print quality, and production standards.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Leadership experience supervising or mentoring press crews.
- Ability to work independently and make sound production decisions.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting production deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
