Echelon Wine Bar is a locally owned, wine-focused restaurant in historic downtown Leesburg. Our concept combines globally sourced wines, thoughtful hospitality, and chef-driven food prepared in our scratch kitchen.
Guests can explore more than 180 wines from around the world, enjoy curated wine flights and pairings, and participate in educational experiences ranging from approachable monthly tastings to accredited Wine & Spirit Education Trust courses.
We are seeking an experienced, personable Server/Bartender who enjoys creating memorable guest experiences and working in a polished but welcoming environment.
What You’ll Do
As a member of our service team, you will guide guests through Echelon’s wine, cocktail, and food offerings while providing attentive and knowledgeable hospitality.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcome guests and provide warm, professional service
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve wine, cocktails, beer, and other beverages
- Make thoughtful wine, cocktail, and food-pairing recommendations
- Learn the ingredients, preparation methods, and common allergens in our menu
- Introduce guests to featured wines, tasting flights, events, and wine club opportunities
- Run food and beverages and support other team members during service
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond appropriately to questions or concerns
- Process guest checks and payments accurately
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked service and bar areas
- Bus, reset, and prepare tables throughout the shift
- Follow responsible alcohol-service, food-safety, and sanitation standards
- Participate in staff tastings and ongoing wine and menu education
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is confident, curious, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous restaurant serving experience
- Bartending experience is a major plus
- Familiarity with classic cocktails, spirits, wine, and responsible beverage service
- Genuine interest in wine, food, and hospitality
- Strong communication and guest-service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tables and priorities during busy shifts
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Professional appearance and attention to detail
- Experience with suggestive selling, beverage sales, or membership programs
- WSET certification or equivalent wine education is a plus, but not required
Candidates must be available to work a combination of evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds.
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
