Job Title: CDL, Over-the-Road Driver
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented CDL, Over-the-Road Driver to join our team. Please be advised that this position is for an over-the-road route, which means the driver will be on the road for several weeks at a time before returning home.
As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and providing exceptional service to our customers. This position requires excellent communication, attentive and responsible driving skills and a strong commitment to being timely.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles, including dry vans
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely delivery of goods
- Ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs and delivery receipts
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
Requirements:
- Valid CDL, class A driver's license with a clean driving record for at least the last 2 years
- At least 1 year previous experience as a CDL driver is required
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must pass DOT drug test and background check
