American Traveler is hiring an MICU RN for a Level III Trauma Center's 20-bed ICU, requiring 2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience and telemetry competency.

20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU (MICU) within a Level III Trauma Center
-
Cares for a wide range of adult patients including substance abuse/overdose, severe psychiatric conditions, DKA, sepsis, GI bleed, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock
-
Attendings and residents present in the ICU 24 hours/day

RN to patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients

Floating required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units with ratios up to 1:4 or 1:5

Day positions are Day Rotate, may rotate between 7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a shifts as needed

Night shift does not rotate

EOW (every other weekend) requirement

36 or 48-hour weekly schedule options

Uses EPIC EMR for charting

Facility is a 400+ bed complex community hospital with 220 Med Surg beds plus ICU, maternity, and other units

Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)

AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required (Salem accepts AHA only)

2+ years of continuous adult ICU experience required, preferably in a MICU
-
Must be able to read telemetry strips and demonstrate telemetry competency

Epic EMR experience preferred

Primary source verification of license/certifications required within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration

Provide direct care to critically ill adult ICU patients and support Med/Surg floating needs
-
Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Local candidates accepted if permanent residence is within 60 miles of Boston, with rate adjusted 5% lower than standard travel rate
