Job Summary
Job Purpose:
Commercial Drivers operate heavy duty trucks {Tractor Trailer } and are responsible for the pickup and delivery of trailers, containers filled with waste or recyclable material. Drivers will transport materials to a disposal site, transfer station or recycling facility. Drivers navigate high traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, parking lots and off road terrain. Forklift experience is required for this position. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential to successfully perform this job.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid Class “A” commercial driver’s license with air brake endorsement.
- Must have a CDL license issued by the state in which you reside.
- No license suspension with in the last 3 years
- No DUI’s, DWI’s within the last 5 years
- Minimum of 1 year driving experience operating a commercial motor vehicle.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check which will include previous employment check, criminal history and motor vehicle record review.
- Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger and leg dexterity.
- Required to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 70 pounds frequently.
- Requires pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, twisting and lifting throughout the work shift
