Mayhew Steel is looking to employ an Accounting Manager. The position is responsible for the oversight and execution of the organization’s general accounting activities, financial close, financial reporting, and balance sheet integrity. This position ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), internal policies, and applicable regulatory requirements. The role also provides leadership to accounting staff, supports cross-functional business operations, and drives continuous improvement in accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.

Manage all aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting processes and staff to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.

Oversee all treasury functions.

Prepare monthly and annual financial statements

Manage general ledger activity, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Support multientity accounting and consolidations.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

Support annual financial reviews, tax filings, and other compliancerelated activities by coordinating documentation, schedules, and responses to requests.

Partner with operations, customer service, inventory, information technology, human resources and finance teams to support business processes, resolve issues, and improve data quality.

Drive process improvements and support system upgrades.

Mentor and develop staff.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is for $85,000-$110,000 annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
