Job Title: Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Location: Neptune, NJ
Job Type: Contract
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts/week | 36 Hours/Week
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a specialized NICU team and provide high-quality care to critically ill neonatal patients in a fast-paced pediatric environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and coordinate individualized care plans for assigned neonatal patients
- Deliver advanced therapeutic nursing interventions and manage complex neonatal care needs
- Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in acuity and treatment requirements
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with nursing standards
- Advocate for evidence-based nursing practices and quality patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Float to Pediatrics and PICU as needed to support patient care coverage
Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ year of NICU, PICU, or Pediatric nursing experience
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Active New Jersey RN license or compact license
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Active NRP certification (AHA Only)
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and rapid assessment skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Schedule Notes: Includes every other weekend. Holiday requirement as needed. No on-call requirements.
