POSITION GOAL:
Enrich the educational, emotional and physical well-being of students in the quality Volusia County Schools’ Extended Day Enrichment Program [EDEP]
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
At the assigned site:
1. Manage the daily operations of the assigned EDEP/BTB program site.
2. Successfully complete assigned tasks by implementing the appropriate Volusia County Schools and EDEP/BTB procedures and policies.
3. Manage the program with good judgment and constructive authority.
4. Supervise designated personnel, including recruitment, selection, and training.
5. Meet with program staff to assist with problem solving, discipline procedures and any suggestions.
6. Establish and maintain positive relations and communication with parents, school personnel, and district EDEP/BTB staff.
7. Plan, prepare, and implement a flexible, varied and stimulating daily program of appropriate activities conducive to constructive play and enrichment appropriate to the age group, and to meet the physical, emotional and intellectual needs of school-aged children.
8. Assist the EDEP Group Leader/BTB Site Lead with the placement and activities of the volunteers working with his/her group of children.
9. Ensure the equipment and materials are inventoried, arranged, accessible, and maintained in good condition
10. In cooperation with school staff, maintain the work area, the classrooms, and playground areas in a neat and clean manner.
11. Ensure all required District and Program records and reports, including but not limited to attendance, tuition, supplies, financial and accident reports, and Early Learning Coalitions payments are maintained in proper order, retrieved efficiently and submitted as required.
12. If needed, participate in staff conferences to share pertinent information regarding the needs of various children when appropriate.
13. Assure confidentiality of any personally identifiable student and family data.
14. If needed, coordinate and conduct parent conferences as needed.
15. Maintain existing procedures to safeguard the health and safety of the children in the program by becoming familiar with the program site layout and all emergency procedures: fire drills, severe weather drill, emergency evacuation procedures and others as needed.
16. Participate in and successfully complete in-service and staff development sessions as required (CPR, Meds Administration Training, STAR, etc. . . . )
17. Notify the Specialist, EDEP District Facilitator in a timely manner of the need to be absent. This notification may be required in writing.
18. Perform all EDEP/BTB Facilitator duties at the assigned location according to daily assignment made by Specialist, EDEP. 19. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Specialist, EDEP
