We are a growing, independently owned consumer pet health company headquartered in Noblesville, Indiana. Our products are sold through a broad mix of channels including online, national retail, and veterinary professional distribution. As our business continues to scale, we are adding a key operations team member to help keep product moving accurately, efficiently, and on time.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Shipping & Inventory Associate plays a central role in our day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on position requiring physical engagement with inventory and shipments across multiple sales channels. You will be responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of product, as well as maintaining real-time inventory records and supporting broader fulfillment operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping & Fulfillment
- Pick, pack, and ship orders accurately across retail, e-commerce, and professional distribution channels
- Prepare and print shipping labels; select appropriate carriers (small parcel, freight) based on order type and channel requirements
- Coordinate and schedule outbound freight pickups with logistics partners
- Ensure all shipments comply with channel-specific labeling, packaging, and documentation requirements
- Process inbound shipment plans and packing requirements for e-commerce fulfillment programs
- Prepare distributor and retailer purchase order fulfillments, including packing slips and bills of lading
Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and log inbound shipments from co-packers, contract manufacturers, and suppliers
- Maintain accurate stock records in inventory management and order management systems
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory against system records
- Identify and flag discrepancies, damaged goods, or short shipments in a timely manner
- Monitor replenishment needs and communicate low-stock alerts to the appropriate team member
- Organize and maintain storage space to support efficient picking and clear product rotation (FIFO)
Operations & Administration
- Maintain organized records of inbound and outbound shipments, including carrier tracking and proof of delivery
- Support preparation and coordination of retailer and distributor compliance documentation
- Assist with product photography, kitting, or assembly projects as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with company standards
- Collaborate with leadership on process improvements to increase fulfillment speed and accuracy
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree a plus
- 1+ years of experience in a shipping, warehouse, inventory, or fulfillment role
- Comfortable with physical work — must be able to stand for extended periods and lift and move boxes up to 50 lbs
- Basic proficiency with computers; ability to learn inventory and order management software quickly
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, packing, and record-keeping
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a fully on-site position based in Noblesville, Indiana, Monday through Friday, with a standard expectation of 40 hours per week. Work takes place in a combined office and warehouse/storage environment. Candidates should be comfortable in a small-team, entrepreneurial environment where everyone contributes across functional areas when needed.
