Franklin Endodontics is a state-of-the-art private practice limited to the dental specialty of Endodontics. We pride ourselves at providing service to our patients at a level that far exceeds the standard of care, and are one of few endodontic practices in the area that boasts the Sonendo GentleWave and an endodontist who is board-certified.
We are currently seeking an experienced dental assistant who will not only manage clinical patient interactions but also contribute to the strategic direction of our practice. The ideal candidate will possess a patient-centered, concierge approach, embodying the excellence synonymous with our practice.
We are interested in a qualified applicant for either a part or full-time position depending on their needs.
Qualifications
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in Dentistry (experience in an Endodontic office is advantageous)
- Self-motivated
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Punctual
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm and ability to connect with and serve patients
- Positive demeanor in all interactions, whether in person or over the phone

Responsibilities
- The requirements listed below are representative, but not all inclusive, of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Assist the dentist and colleagues in all dental procedures
- Prepare patients for treatment
- Taking 2D and 3D radiographs
- Hand instruments and materials to dentists and keep patients' mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices
- Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, replenishing as needed
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Obtain dental history and/or records from patient and ensure that the health history is updated for all returning patients
- Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
- Record patient charting and all doctor notes as directed by the doctor
- Escort patient to/from the front desk and introduce them to the treatment coordinator ensuring a positive patient experience.
- Answer and respond to telephone calls and emails with professionalism and courtesy
- Willingness to learn how to schedule and confirm patient appointments according to protocol and patient preferences
- Check the daily schedule for accuracy
- Gather insurance information from patients if scheduling a patient
- Helping to maintain a clean or orderly practice
