TASK/FUNCTION DESCRIPTION:
The Order Fulfillment Box Machine Operator / Material Handler runs the box making machine to ensure boxes are ready for placement of customer products.
- Runs box machine – setting up machine for different box sizes and adjusts as needed
- Operate pallet jacks and walkies in order to move products and palletized boxes to different areas
- Responsible for the routine maintenance and cleaning of the machines
- Ensure to stock box products for efficient machine operation
- Maintain a safe working environment, organize and keep orderly, and follow all safety rules and regulations
- Participate in and perform the daily exercise program
- Work in all areas of the company as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of machine operator experience desired.
- Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including pallet jacks and walkies when needed.
- Fluent in reading and writing English.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Time management, well organized and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail with a strong sense of urgency
- Must have the ability to work unsupervised
- Strong team player
- Must be in good physical condition and have good motor skills.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds at a time.
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
- Must be able to reach up to heights of 60 inches and place product on shelves
- Must be able to stand and walk 100% of shift
- Fast-paced work environment
Shift is 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday with overtime.
Pay is $16.00 an hour.
