Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations and documenting damages to inventory
- Must have prior experience operating a power hand saw, miter table saw and nail/staple guns to build pallets and/or crates required for material shipment.
- Must have prior experience as a certified forklift operator. Must be able to use a pallet jack.
- Be able to process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company
- Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
- Troubleshoot shipping/receiving issues that arise and work to solve them
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required
- Excellent organization and administrative skills are essential in this role
- Integrity and leadership skills are a plus
- Good analytical and problem solving skills are required
- Strong computer skills
- Detail-oriented and multitasking skill
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- This is a Safety Sensitive position
- This position is in a manufacturing plant where temperatures vary based on the outdoor temperature and humidity (it is not heated or air conditioned). The ideal candidate will be able to work indoors and outdoors.
