Wages: New Hires: Entry level rate $16.39/hr.; Current employees in the bargaining unit: Please refer to the salary schedule established by the applicable bargaining group
Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)

Will work collaboratively with teachers in MTSS to assist in the success of all students

Will teach, model, and support PBIS in all building situations
-
Will work with students in skills room
-
Ability to work with ALL students
-
Computer skills are necessary to input data into student data system and manipulate spreadsheets
-
With classroom teachers, establish a positive learning environment while maintaining a structured setting
-
Assist with and support classroom teacher with instruction
-
Work collaboratively with teachers using developmentally appropriate practices, including following teacher's direction for instruction

Assist teacher in monitoring students' progress by keeping necessary records and giving feedback as requested

A willingness to work with students in a positive manner will help develop and/or enhance the practice of self-discipline. Applicants should have the ability to resolve conflicts. Must be able to communicate and relate to students in a non-threatening and friendly manner.

Maintain patience and positive interpersonal skills with all students.

Walk hallways during class time and/or during passing time, reporting any issues to office staff

Communicate with instructional staff daily regarding instruction and student issues
-
A successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each student reaches his/her full potential

Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully

Skilled, understands and utilizes MTSS or willingness to be trained/knowledgeable

Skilled, understands and utilizes PBIS or willingness to be trained/knowledgeable
