Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience. You will be responsible for greeting guests, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest relations in a restaurant or hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Manage seating arrangements efficiently.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times to guests.
- Provide menus and explain daily specials to guests.
- Assist with guest inquiries and ensure their needs are met promptly.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure seamless service.
- Utilize Toast POS system for inputting takeout orders.
- Uphold high standards of customer service and guest relations at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with food service operations is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Toast, is desirable but not required.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team.
