Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kids Club Attendant to join the Windsor Athletic Club team!. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children while their parents participate in activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
Duties
- Supervise and engage children in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate games, crafts, and educational activities that promote learning and social interaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized play area, ensuring that all toys and equipment are safe and in good condition.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's experience and any concerns that may arise.
- Provide care for children with special needs or disabilities, adapting activities as necessary to ensure inclusion.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and maintain a record of any incidents or injuries.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their development through supportive interactions.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting such as babysitting, nannying, or early childhood education is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in caregiving is essential.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures is a plus; certification is highly regarded.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are required.
