Responsibilities
- Operate tractors equipped with mowing decks to efficiently cut grass and maintain large landscaped areas.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on mowing equipment and groundskeeping tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow established safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, trimming, and clearing debris using hand tools and power tools.
- Identify various plant species, weeds, pests, and signs of disease to support overall plant health management.
- Support irrigation system operations by inspecting sprinkler heads, repairing leaks, or adjusting settings as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to complete groundskeeping projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience or familiarity with grounds maintenance activities is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and groundskeeping machinery safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including mowing, pruning, planting, and hardscape installation.
- Understanding of horticulture principles such as plant identification and pest management techniques.
- Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures in outdoor work environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team setting.
