Overview
As a Doggy Daycare Attendant at Leashes and Lashes, you will be responsible for providing a safe, clean, and enriching environment for our daycare dogs while ensuring every pet receives exceptional care throughout the day. Team members actively supervise playgroups of approximately 8–10 dogs at a time, with multiple attendants working together to safely manage groups of up to 45 dogs. You will monitor canine body language, encourage appropriate social interactions, redirect unwanted behaviors, and intervene when necessary to maintain a positive and safe environment. This role requires constant movement, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm while managing dogs with varying personalities, play styles, and energy levels.
In addition to supervising playgroups, Doggy Daycare Attendants are responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary facility. Daily duties include cleaning play yards, disinfecting kennels and crates, mopping floors, sanitizing water bowls and toys, washing/drying bedding, picking up waste immediately, and ensuring all daycare and boarding areas remain organized and odor-free. Team members will also assist with feeding, administering medications when assigned, moving dogs safely throughout the facility, communicating with coworkers about dog behavior, and providing excellent customer service during drop-off and pick-up. Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
