Thompson House is a small, non-profit, mission-driven rehabilitation and LTC nursing center serving the community and surrounding towns of Brattleboro, VT.
We have a full-time opening on our day shift (7a-3p) and are looking for a CNA/LNA to join our team!
The most qualified applicant would be compassionate, a good team player, have a positive mindset, with attention to infection prevention and compliance. We provide a number of incentives, such as health, dental, PTO, PTO cash out program, and a 403B program with match after 6 months. All staff receive a 30 minute paid break as well as a 15-minute paid break during each 8 hour shift. Staff are also offered a free meal if working during breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Duties:
- Assist with the daily care and needs of patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Provide basic patient care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfer skills.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages, including children.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures.
- Familiarity with Point Click Care charting
