Duties
- Assist licensed cosmetologist.
- Prepare clients for treatments by performing consultations, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health regulations.
- Operate salon software systems like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage daily operations efficiently.
- Mentor new team members by sharing knowledge on hair coloring techniques based on color theory, hair threading, and other salon services.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of hair styling techniques including the use of straight razors and applying makeup.
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Basic understanding of retail sales strategies and upselling techniques to enhance client experience.
- Ability to perform specialized services like hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and hair threading confidently.
