Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Nighttime CNC Mill Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating Doosan and Mazak CNC Mills to produce precision aerospace components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint reading, and mechanical systems to ensure high-quality output. The CNC Machinist will play a vital part in maintaining efficient production workflows and adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines using Fanuc and Smooth EZ controls.
- Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Adjust offsets and/or work with programmers to produce parts in spec.
- Conduct routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any potential issues.
- Perform In-Process Inspections to verify part conformance
- Debur Parts as they come off the machine using various deburring methods outlined in setup sheets.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Help around the shop where needed, tasks include but not limited to, cleaning, machine maintenance, coolant top up, tooling organization and cleaning, etc.
- Work with management to ensure smooth production flow and production baselines are met.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC Mill Set-Up
- 3 Years Experience Minimum, 5 Years plus preferred
- Aerospace Experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings.
- Doosan/Fanuc/Mazatrol Experience preferred but not required
- Programming Experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and gauge pins.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to enhance productivity.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations related to machining operations. Base Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
