Breathe Easy Mold Remediation is seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Field Tech to join our growing team that desires to be a Crew Lead. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in delivering clean, healthy environments for homeowners and has the physical stamina and professionalism to thrive in fieldwork. The Field Tech is responsible for leading and executing mold remediation projects from start to finish—including containment setup, demolition, cleaning, crawlspace encapsulation, and final quality assurance all while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up critical containment and negative air pressure zones in residential or commercial buildings.
- Perform mold removal using HEPA sanding, vacuuming, and approved antimicrobial treatments.
- Conduct demolition of affected materials including drywall, baseboards, and flooring as needed.
- Safely operate tools and equipment including HEPA vacuums, air scrubbers, moisture meters, and sprayers.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols while on-site.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with homeowners, answering questions and building trust.
- Document job progress, materials used, and photo records using our company app or paper checklist.
- Load and unload equipment and materials, clean tools, and reset the workspace upon job completion.
- Support fellow technicians and work collaboratively to meet daily goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Prior experience in construction, demolition, cleaning, or restoration work preferred.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawlspaces), and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable wearing PPE (Tyvek suit, gloves, respirator) for extended durations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in the field.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required with a clean record
- OSHA, IICRC, or mold remediation training/certifications are a plus
