Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and a passion for building and remodeling. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Ideally, new hires have experience in multiple trades.
Responsibilities
- Construct frameworks and structures using wood, metal, or other materials.
- Perform frame carpentry tasks including building walls, roofs, and floors.
- Execute trim carpentry work such as installing moldings, baseboards, and cabinetry.
- Estimate construction costs and materials needed for projects.
- Carry out remodeling projects that may include renovations of residential or commercial spaces.
- Install fixtures such as doors, windows, cabinets, and countertops.
- Work on siding installation to enhance the exterior of buildings.
- Fabricate custom pieces as required by project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with a portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficient in frame carpentry techniques and trim carpentry skills.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices to assess project costs accurately.
- Experience in remodeling projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform maintenance person tasks as needed for various projects.
- Strong understanding of fixture installation processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical documents effectively.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
