Positions are available in preschool, elementary, and high school self-contained classrooms for individuals with a passion for inspiring growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold both Special Education and Early Childhood degree certification (required for EC PCD Teacher, ages 3–4)
- Possess a SPED Multi-Categorical endorsement (required for ID Mild/Moderate Self-Contained roles, K–3 and high school)
- Maintain an active South Carolina Teaching License
- Previous experience or coursework in special education classrooms is highly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction in self-contained special education settings, tailored to students’ individual learning needs
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- Support student growth in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional areas
- Engage with parents/guardians and colleagues to ensure the highest level of educational support
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all state and federal special education regulations
- Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
