Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and science.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management and classroom management strategies that encourage cooperation and independence.
- Support child development through tailored activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and cognitive growth.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and collaborate on supporting each child's unique needs.
- Ensure safety and well-being by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining first aid and CPR certifications, and following health protocols.
- Conduct assessments, ASQ's, and parent teacher conferences using standardized testing where applicable to monitor developmental milestones.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience and child development instruction skills.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, literacy education, and early childhood education principles.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that supports all learners.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR; Mandated Reporter and TAP Series.
- A background in childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Must be teacher qualified with a degree in Early Childhood Development or Elementary Education or enough college credits to be verified through DCFS.

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
