About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cabinet & Millwork Craftsman to join our team. You will be responsible for the end-to-end fabrication of custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, and bespoke furniture. This role requires a blend of traditional woodworking artistry and modern technical proficiency to transform raw materials into high-end, functional pieces.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly: Construct and assemble custom cabinets, built-ins, and complex millwork components according to precise shop drawings.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure exact specifications are met.
- Precision Machining: Expertly operate shop machinery, including table saws, planers, jointers, routers, and CNC equipment.
- Material Selection: Hand-pick suitable wood species, veneers, and laminates, ensuring grain and color matching for a uniform appearance.
- Finishing & Detailing: Perform sanding, trimming, and hardware installation (hinges, slides, pulls) to achieve a flawless final product.
- On-Site Installation: (If applicable) Assist with the installation of completed units at residential or commercial job sites.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in custom cabinetry or architectural millwork.
- Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of joinery techniques (dado, dovetail, mortise and tenon) and woodworking math.
- Attention to Detail: A "perfectionist" mindset with a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift up to 50–75 lbs.
- Tools: Must be proficient with both hand tools and heavy stationary power equipment.
Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour
