- Manage a variety of real estate matters and disputes, including title claims, vendor disputes, eminent domain proceedings, CC&R enforcement actions, easements, access agreements, and related legal issues.
- Support property disposition transactions by partnering with title insurance and escrow companies to resolve liens, title defects, and other title-related matters.
- Review, draft, and revise real estate documents, including easement agreements, HOA governance documents, deeds, lien releases, and related agreements.
- Support the full lifecycle of commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, coordinating stakeholder feedback, facilitating execution, summarizing key terms, and maintaining contract records.
- Utilize contract and matter management systems to monitor legal matters, generate reports, and maintain key performance metrics.
- Coordinate and track office leasing transactions.
- Assist with strategic legal initiatives, cross-functional projects, and large-scale transactions as needed.
- Collaborate with business partners across the organization to provide practical legal support and ensure efficient contract and matter management.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of paralegal experience within a major law firm and/or a reputable in-house legal department.
- Significant experience supporting real estate transactions, including reviewing title insurance and resolving title-related issues.
- Experience drafting and revising real estate documents such as deeds, easements, HOA governance documents, lien releases, and SNDAs.
- Experience supporting the complete lifecycle of commercial contracts, including negotiation, execution, and administration, is preferred.
- Experience using contract management and/or legal matter management platforms.
- Familiarity with litigation and foreclosure matters is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to interact effectively with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, sound legal judgment, high ethical standards, and a proactive approach to supporting the business.
- Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
