Job Title: CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) – PRN / Per Diem
Location: Loogootee, IN
Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
Overview
Staffing Strategies is seeking compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our PRN staffing pool in the Loogootee area. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work in skilled nursing and behavioral health settings.
The ideal candidate is patient-focused, dependable, and comfortable working with a variety of patient populations, including those with memory care and behavioral health needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Safely utilize equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and document care in EMR/EHR systems (PointClickCare preferred)
- Provide care and support for patients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, and behavioral health conditions
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients
- Follow all infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in the state of Indiana
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF), long-term care, or behavioral health setting preferred
- Experience with PointClickCare or similar EMR systems preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
