Duties
- Supervise and coordinate landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and irrigation system management
- Lead a team of crew members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining safety standards and quality workmanship
- Perform landscape construction tasks such as installing new plantings, hardscaping features, and garden structures
- Oversee tree care operations including pruning, removals, and health assessments to promote tree vitality
- Conduct routine inspections of landscaped areas to identify maintenance needs and troubleshoot issues promptly
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and system repairs for optimal plant health
- Provide training and mentorship to crew members on horticultural techniques, safety procedures, and equipment use
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, or horticulture with a strong understanding of plant health and garden management
- Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or construction environments with excellent leadership skills
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care practices, gardening techniques, and general landscape construction methods
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy equipment or materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients effectively
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, relevant certifications such as pesticide applicator or arborist certification are a plus
