We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Co-Head of School/Montessori Teacher to lead our innovative early childhood education program. Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership in implementing Montessori educational philosophy across all classroom settings and school programs.
- Develop and oversee curriculum planning that promotes holistic childhood development, including social-emotional learning, cognitive skills, and physical growth.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives to enhance school growth, community engagement, and educational quality.
- Manage school budgets effectively, ensuring financial sustainability while supporting program excellence and staff development.
- Facilitate professional development workshops for faculty and staff to maintain high instructional standards and promote continuous improvement.
- Supervise school personnel, including teachers, administrative staff, and support personnel; conduct faculty evaluations and support team leadership efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all educational regulations, legal requirements—including special education law—and accreditation standards.
- Oversee fundraising efforts to support school initiatives, scholarships, and community outreach programs.
- Manage school administrative functions such as enrollment processes, parent communication, and community relations.
- Provide public speaking engagements to promote the school’s mission and foster strong partnerships within the community.
Experience
- Extensive experience in K-12 or early childhood education administration with a focus on Montessori or similar progressive educational models.
- Proven track record in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and managing educational teams.
- Strong background in school legal knowledge, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements related to childhood education.
- Demonstrated success in fundraising activities and strategic planning to support school growth initiatives.
- Management experience in budgeting, personnel supervision, faculty evaluation, and school operations at an executive level.
- Skilled in facilitating professional development for educators and leading teams through change management processes.
- Hands-on classroom experience with young children in Montessori or early childhood settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire staff, engage families, and represent the school publicly with confidence and professionalism.
