Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items with precision, focusing on breakfast and lunch service hours, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes
- Execute food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food production to meet recipe specifications and presentation standards
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling protocols to ensure a safe dining environment
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and kitchen capabilities
- Support food service operations by coordinating with team members to manage high-volume production efficiently
- Ensure all kitchen stations are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary ingredients and supplies throughout shifts
- Follow all food safety management policies and contribute to maintaining a hygienic work environment at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Strong background in restaurant or food industry settings, with fine dining experience preferred
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation, including knife skills and cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling
- Experience with food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Prior experience in catering or meal preparation roles is a plus
