ABOUT THE ROLE
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a well-regarded, owner-operated full-service upscale dining restaurant in Charlotte. Our client is looking for an Assistant General Manager to join their leadership team at a polished, dinner-focused concept with a loyal guest following and a strong culture of hospitality.
This is a real opportunity to step into a high-visibility leadership role — with ownership of the floor, the team, and the guest experience — and a clear path to General Manager for the right person.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead front-of-house operations through dinner service and set the tone for the guest experience every shift
- Develop, coach, and retain a team of servers, hosts, and support staff
- Support and help lead the restaurant’s private events program
- Assist with marketing efforts and community engagement
- Manage opening and closing procedures and maintain operational standards
- Support labor and cost management alongside the General Manager
- Step into GM responsibilities as needed
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 3–5+ years of progressive restaurant experience. Time in a FOH Manager, Floor Manager, or AGM role is strongly preferred
- Full-service, polished casual, or fine dining background strongly preferred
- Private events experience strongly preferred
- Natural team builder with a guest-first mindset
- Comfortable with an evening-focused schedule
- South Charlotte based or willing to commute to South Charlotte (Stonecrest)
