Line Cook – Smash Burgers & Breakfast Cafe
Location: Howard Beach area – conveniently located near the A train and bus lines
Business Hours: Tuesday - Sunday 10:30-9 PM
Compensation: $18.50 per hour + tips (averaging approximately $22.50 per hour)

Job Summary:
We will have 2 shifts, where you will work approximately 40-45 hours per week. As our Line Cook, you will be essential in preparing fresh, high-quality ingredients and crafting delicious smash burgers and morning specialties. You’ll manage food prep, operate the grill efficiently during peak hours, and ensure a clean and organized work station—all while contributing to a fast-paced and supportive kitchen culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Shift Preparation:
- Prep meats, burger toppings, and condiments daily.
- Set up and ensure all stations are ready for service.
- Cooking & Assembly:
- Operate the grill to cook smash burgers as orders come in.
- Assemble burgers quickly and efficiently during service.
- Prepare breakfast items, including bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches, and other grill-made items.
- Maintenance & Clean-Up:
- Keep your work station clean and organized throughout the shift.
- Assist with overall food prep and kitchen cleanup as needed.
- Food Safety:
- Follow food safety and quality standards at all times.
Requirements
- Excellent English Communication:
- Must speak excellent English to ensure clear communication with team members and customers.
- Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in a fast-paced food service or kitchen environment is preferred, though we are open to training the right candidate.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Licensing:
- Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) a mobile food vending license. We offer paid training and full support during the process.
