Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and seasonal specials that delight our guests
- Handle food with care, following strict food safety and handling procedures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene
- Use knife skills proficiently to chop, slice, dice, and portion ingredients efficiently and safely
- Support food preparation tasks such as marinating, assembling ingredients, and plating dishes for service
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to sanitation guidelines throughout each shift
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours and support catering or special event needs when required
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a dietary aide within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to prepare ingredients quickly and accurately
- Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and serving teams
